Can you move to another country after declaring bankruptcy?

In After Bankruptcy, Anonymous Q & A, Niagara Falls, Ontario by Questions1 Comment

Can you move to another country after declaring bankruptcy in Canada? More specifically, can you work as a volunteer in another country soon after declaring bankruptcy in Canada? Or do you have to stay put in Canada for a certain period of time?
Thank you.

You are free to leave the country so long as you make arrangements to ensure your bankruptcy duties are completed. This includes completing your two credit counselling sessions, ensuring your trustee can reach you by phone or email, making your required payments and submitting your income tax information and income information as required. Permission can be granted to complete the credit counselling sessions remotely if need be.
